On a freezing cold afternoon, 16 brave athletes took part in a cross country match at Longacre school on Thursday. Our Under 9 boys all performed very well despite a couple of boys being hooked on a marker pole! The four Greenfield top scores all came in together - Ross Bennfors (6th), Harry Curtis (7th), Kasper Paustian-Arleth (8th) and Jamie Mann (9th). The under 11 girls battled their way round the course with Zoe Marlovits finishing a creditable 10th. Ella Barker ran confidently against girls years older than her. Our under 11 boys excelled with Jack Jesty pacing it brilliantly to finish 1st with Matthew Curtis a fantastic 2nd. Jamie Martin just missed out on the medals in 4th place.
Congratulations to all those that took part and thanks to the three mums who braved the arctic conditions to support the teams.
