Local Links
The school has many links with the local community including links with a number of different places of worship, police, fire, ambulance and health services, local newspapers, businesses and other schools including government funded schools.
Local events
Greenfield pupils attend music festivals, sporting, cycling and other local events. Orchestras, choirs and bands perform in public and at the annual Woking Music Festival. Other events include hockey festivals and the annual Greenfield Sports Challenge. Our annual Harvest Festival takes place within the school and helps support local people.
Charity
Pupils at Greenfield are encouraged to appreciate their good fortune and to empathise with others who may have experienced hardship due to circumstances outside of their control. Pupils and parents are very generous in their support of local and global charities including the local hospice and Day Centre for the Aged as well as extending the hand of friendship to far-away places in support of health and education projects.
Pupils’ activities in support of charity and fund-raising events include:
- Choral singing
- Sponsored events
- Collection of resources for recycling
- Non-uniform days
