Greenfield School

Lower School

You will find the Lower School by following the happy hubbub that floats down the first floor corridor. Two years may fly by in the life of an adult, but for six and seven-year-olds each day promises the discovery of new skills, expansion of knowledge and an array of new experiences. Through imaginative lessons and excellent teaching, pupils are encouraged to become creative and independent thinkers.

On any given day, you will find Year 1 and 2 pupils participating in ‘hands-on’, practical activities which will lead to exciting, meaningful and engaging cross-curricular links. The Lower School is where basis of a child’s preparatory education develops and helps pupils take ownership of their learning.

"Those identified as able, gifted or talented achieve high standards of literacy and numeracy, benefiting from individual programmes which suit their strengths." - ISI Inspection Report March 2016
