Community
At Greenfield one of our strengths is the connection we have with our extended community - from the children's families, our professional workforce, our past pupils and the wider community in Woking.
With the abundance of opportunities that are available to children at Greenfield, we are proud to share our exciting facilities with the wider community in a range of applications. From hosting regular fixtures and tournaments on our vast green field, to hosting workshops and activity days on a variety of subjects, to letting our premises for summer holiday camps and events. With purpose-built spaces around the school including specialist classrooms, specious halls and outdoor space, the Greenfield calendar is always brimming with exciting events that involve our community.
friends of Greenfield school
Friends of Greenfield School or "FroGS" is the parent association of which all parents automatically become members when their children join the school. We hold a meeting every term and an AGM in the autumn term to which all parents are invited. The meetings are informal and friendly and a useful way for new parents to get involved in the social side of the school.
The objective of FroGS is to act as a social focus for parents and to arrange fundraising events throughout the year such as quiz nights, seasonal festivities and the summer ball. The funds raised by these events provide "extras" for the school. To date, "extras" purchased have included the school minibus, recording equipment, staging, playground equipment, educational games, a number of interactive whiteboards and VR goggles! This additional support is invaluable and all the children benefit throughout the school.
If you think you can help, or if you would like to attend an event, please do not hesitate to get in touch! We can be contacted on Friendsofgreenfieldschool@gmail.com.
