Greenfield School

Greenfield is Growing

Since moving to our home on the Old Woking Road in the summer of 2019, we have been planning the next steps of our project, to enable Greenfield to continue to grow and flourish for years to come.

On 10th May 2021, our trusted contractors, Darwin Group Limited, began work on site to build a permanent state-of-the-art building and surrounding landscaping works. The build project will replace the need for the temporary classrooms currently being used, and will include a dining room, three court sports hall, music and performance rooms, multi-media suite and nine classrooms.  The project will also include installation of outdoor sports facilities, courtyard Zen garden and further site landscaping.

Teamed with our relevant and forward-thinking curriculum, wealth of extra-curricular activities and strong pastoral care, this project helps to launch Greenfield School into the future.

Please see below a video walkthrough for an idea of how the site will look when the project is completed.  Please note that this is for reference only.

Week by week, as the project develops, we will share information on what you can expect from the week ahead.

If you have any questions about the build or our estate, please email bursar@greenfield.surrey.sch.uk.

On the 10th June 2021 we launched a crowdfunding campaign that allows everyone in the wider Greenfield community to get involved and make their mark on Greenfield history. Click the tab on the left hand side to read more about it.

Week 24 - w/c 18th October

As we wave goodbye to the majority of our children for two weeks, the Darwin team are busy preparing to complete two very large and important stages of the project.  They will spend the next two weeks completing the car park works (which will include widening the gate posts and replacing the main gate) and completing the front linkway between the two schools.  We are hopeful that we will be able to use the main reception when the majority of the school return on 1st November — watch this space!

With the half term works, we remind those who are still coming into school that the main front gate will be out of action, and we should be accessing the school site via the builders’ site entrance on the corner of Sandy Way and Old Woking Road (here).  The space available to visitors to park will change, but it will be obvious to those accessing the site.
