Greenfield School

Greenfield is Growing

Since moving to our home on the Old Woking Road in the summer of 2019, we have been planning the next steps of our project, to enable Greenfield to continue to grow and flourish for years to come.

On 10th May 2021, our trusted contractors, Darwin Group Limited, began work on site to build a permanent state-of-the-art building and surrounding landscaping works. The build project will replace the need for the temporary classrooms currently being used, and will include a dining room, three court sports hall, music and performance rooms, multi-media suite and nine classrooms.  The project will also include installation of outdoor sports facilities, courtyard Zen garden and further site landscaping.

Teamed with our relevant and forward-thinking curriculum, wealth of extra-curricular activities and strong pastoral care, this project helps to launch Greenfield School into the future.

Please see below a video walkthrough for an idea of how the site will look when the project is completed.  Please note that this is for reference only.

Week by week, as the project develops, we will share information on what you can expect from the week ahead.

If you have any questions about the build or our estate, please email bursar@greenfield.surrey.sch.uk.

Week 1 – w/c 10th May

On Monday morning, we will start to welcome the construction team from Darwin on site. They will spend this first week getting themselves set up.  The main tasks will be breaking through the fencing at the end of the road where the staff currently park (to create their permanent access onto site), setting up their site welfare facilities, starting to create the haul road alongside where the staff car park road meets the field (for Darwin’s construction vehicles to use going forward) and following the creation of that road with setting up fencing around these areas.

Until the fence is broken through and Darwin’s permanent access onto site is created, Darwin vehicles will access the school site via the main gates. They are aware of the school pick up/drop off times and will not be accessing during these times.

We do not envisage this causing any disruption to site, but our school community will start to see exciting changes!
