The boys' U7 and U8 teams have had a brilliant start to the season with two tournament wins.
On Saturday 22nd September, Miss Haley and Mr Cooke took a team of U7 boys to the annual Lanesborough Football Tournament. The boys played some fantastic football, winning all of their games, and came away with the trophy. Well done boys!

Earlier in the same week, the U11s had competed at a tournament hosted by Salesian College in Farnborough. Their first fixtures had ended in losses for both A and B teams, but the boys did not let that deter them. They enjoyed a great afternoon of football and the B team finished 3rd in their group with the As making it into the semi-finals. A great effort from everyone, well done!
The U9s have had a clean sweep at their fixtures so far, with wins for both A and B teams against ISL and a win against St Lawrence School in Chobham. They are looking forward to meeting the Longacre team later this week.
On Friday 5th October, the U8s set off to Windlesham for the annual Captain Snow tournament at Woodcote House School. We have been fortunate enough to be invited to this tournament for many years but never managed to clinch the coveted trophy. Not this year! After two convincing wins and a draw in their group, the Greenfield team played St Francis School, who had won their group on goal difference. After a good game that finished 0-0 the Greenfield boys maintained their focus and took the trophy on penalties.
After such a great start to the football season, the U7 boys have the Greenfield Football Festival to look forward to later this week (Friday 12th October) at Woking Leisure Centre. The tournament begins at 1.30pm and we hope to see many supporters down at the sidelines to cheer on the competitors.
Finally, a big thank you goes to Miss Haley and Mr Cooke for making football so accessible and enjoyable for all those who want to play, and especially for giving up their Saturday morning for the Lanesborough tournament.
