Rainbow clothes for Rainbow Trust

On Friday 7th December, pupils and staff donned their most colourful clothing to raise funds for a well-deserving charity.

In October the School Council, which contains two children from each year group in Years 1-6, worked together to research and present information on select charities to their peers. The rest of the pupils in the school then got to vote to choose a charity for the school to support this year.

The winner was The Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity. The Rainbow Trust Children's Charity provides emotional and practical support to families who have a child with a life-threatening or terminal illness.

Pupils will be holding several events and activities throughout the year to raise money for this worthy charity. The first event came in the form of a mufti day on Friday 7th December.

Children (and teachers!) came into school wearing their most colourful clothing to represent their own rainbows, in support of the Rainbow Trust.

The children raised an incredible £362 for the Rainbow Trust and we are looking forward to doing even more fundraising for them throughout the year.
