Teddy Bears' Picnic

If you go down to the woods today, you're sure of a big surprise...

The Early Years department at Greenfield is always jam-packed with exciting play and learning opportunities. This week, children in the Owls and Robins classes (rising 3 and rising 4) had a picnic with some special friends.

Each child was asked to bring in their favourite teddy or soft toy from home to attend their exciting picnic. Due to the rainy weather, the teddy bears and the children had their picnic indoors rather than in the woods, but that didn't seem to bother them at all!

The children gathered on rugs in the Owls classroom and shared some teddy themed snacks. Even some of the teddies tried to eat some!

The children and teddies (and staff!) sang some songs as they enjoyed their teddy snacks and thought about what the teddies might like to eat best. Once the picnic was over the children took their teddy bears out to playtime - they said they wished teddies could come in to school every day!
