Spooktacular Joglet with Froglet
Following on from last year’s Advent Fun Run success, on Sunday 6th October, FroGS hosted another Joglet with Froglet with a terrifying twist...
This year was a spooky Halloween themed event, inviting children and adults to dress up as wicked witches, petrifying pumpkins and ghastly ghouls.
This year the run took place on our very own field, with children running 4 laps to complete the 2K run. Luckily, despite the threatening forecast, the rain held off and it turned out to be a sunny and crisp morning.
There was a thrilling array of terrifying costumes, from werewolves and witches to pumpkins and skeletons. Prizes were awarded for the best costumes in each part of the school.
A scary witch from Year 6 won the Upper School fancy dress prize, with her spooky makeup and brilliant costume. In the Lower School, the prize was awarded to a zombie school girl, complete with fake blood and ripped shirt.
The scary werewolf from Reception took the prize home in the Early Years category, with his realistic mask. Among the adults, a father and daughter duo won the prize dressed as a pair of perfect pumpkins!
After the children and adults dashed around the field, “The Tipsy Pigs” food van was there to provide a hot breakfast, tea and coffee which was well deserved and much needed!
Thank you to all of the parents, children and staff who came along to join in the fun. We are already looking forward to the next Joglet with Froglet.
