Horrible Histories Success

13 Greenfield pupils to have their work published in a special Horrible Histories book.

Horrible Histories, who produce books and television programmes which present different eras of History in a fun and entertaining way, recently organised a competition inviting children from ages 7-11 to write a mini saga about an event in History of their choice.  To make this trickier, only 100 words could be used!

In their English lessons, Greenfield children rose to the challenge and produced their own mini sagas about events ranging from the discovery of Tutankhamen’s tomb to bombing raids during The Blitz. Their saga entries were then sent off for judging.

We are delighted to announce that the following children impressed the judges so much that their mini sagas are to be published in a special collection of these stories.   Well done to Chloe, Daniel, Henry, Elliott, Walif, Holly, Rafael , Noah, Louisa, Isabella, Tom, Ollie C and Ollie R!
