French Day Fun for All
Greenfield School pupils spent Friday 18th November experiencing all things French, in a day filled with with workshops, new experiences and new friendships.
This term's Enrichment Day theme was "France and all things French". In mixed year groups, from Reception to Year 6, pupils circulated the school taking part in different activities. Owls and Robins classes stayed in their classrooms but still joined in the fun with their own French-themed activities and games.
The children were allowed to come into school in French-inspired clothes, which ranged from red, white and blue ensembles to Jacques Cousteau, an escargot and even the Louvre and Arc de Triomphe!
Head of Languages, Madame Lupi said, "We have enjoyed a fun packed French day today and learnt lots of new things. All children have taken part in a range of activities from making croissants and croque Monsieurs to taking part in a Mime workshop. We have constructed the Eiffel Tower from pink wafers, made pom poms, danced the Can can, composed French songs and played Petanque."
Needless to say, both staff and pupils were exhausted by the end of a very busy day.
