One Saturday morning in September, the U7 team competed at Lanesborough Preparatory School’s Football tournament. The team played against each of the 6 other school where they lost their first game but won all the rest, securing themselves the trophy and a medal each.

Last week, Greenfield hosted their own U7 tournament and were joined by 7 other schools on a warm October afternoon at Woking Leisure Centre. After the first round, which determined the play offs for bronze, silver and gold medals, Greenfield team 1 was in contest for the gold medal, whilst Greenfield team 2 was competing for bronze.

Team 2 played hard but were beaten by the two Goldsworth School teams in their group, one of which took away the bronze medal. Ripley Court beat their competitors to earn themselves the silver medal and Greenfield 1 won their games against Lanesborough and Sythwood to claim the trophy.

It is brilliant to see so many U7 teams eager to compete at football and we are delighted that our U7 footballers are enjoying the game and seeing the results of all their enthusiasm and hard work. Well done boys and girls!
