Greenfield School

Recognising Success

A school like no other, we are incredibly proud of the recognition that Greenfield has achieved over the years for our outstanding educational provision.

In 2016 a full inspection by the Independent Schools' Inspectorate (the Independent Schools' equivalent to Ofsted) rated Greenfield as "Excellent" in all eight inspection areas: Pupils' achievements and learning; Contribution of curricular and extra-curricular provision; Contribution of teaching; Pupils' spiritual, moral, social and cultural development; Pastoral care; Welfare, health and safety; Governance and Leadership and Management. In 2019, the school was inspected for regulatory compliance and passed all requirements with no recommendations.

It is all of this and more that meant Greenfield was shortlisted for the TES Pre-Prep/Prep School of the Year Award in 2019 along with just 8 other schools from all across the country. This enormous accolade places Greenfield amongst the top schools in the UK and, as the only shortlisted school in the county, Greenfield is proud to be recognised as one of Surrey's top Prep Schools.

In 2022, we also learned that Greenfield School has been awarded 'highly commended' in two categories by the Muddy Stilettos School Awards, in two categories which accurately represent our school's ethos - outstanding pastoral care with a great sense of humour!

In June 2022, we were thrilled to learn that Greenfield had been chosen as the Independent Prep School of the Year at the TES Awards 2022. We are incredibly proud and humbled that the work we do has been recognised in this way, and are more excited than ever for what is yet to come. Read more about how our journey has shaped our success as we continue to grow.

"When the children returned from lockdown we began our Student Champions initiative, where children and staff volunteer their time to listen to those who might be struggling. The volunteers proudly wear Student Champion badges, to let others know that they are here to listen should they have any concerns. This enables children to open up lines of communication, prevent build-up of anxiety and signpost each other to avenues of support..."

Full steam ahead for Greenfield School!

"After quickly adapting to current circumstances, the school is continuing with its expansion plans. In the summer of 2019, when Greenfield School moved in its entirety from Brooklyn Road to Old Woking Road, it was hailed as the start of the most exciting year yet and one that was sure to be full of ‘firsts’. That was certainly true, but little did it know that a pandemic was on the horizon and that much of the forthcoming school year would see its new home stood empty whilst teachers and pupils remained in lockdown..."
