Anti-Bullying Week
In November 2021 we celebrated Anti-Bullying Week. We started off the week participating in 'Odd Sock Day' - a day that represents how we are all unique, are free to express ourselves without judgement, and respect each other's individuality.
The theme for Anti-Bullying Week in 2021 was 'One Kind Word', and the children engaged in workshops to discuss the importance of kindness, and how it can sometimes take just one kind word to prevent bullying from happening. As well as their challenge to distribute their 'One Kind Word' posters around their local community, the children combined their efforts out on the field and formed an enormous 'One Kind Word' paperchain!
In English lessons the children read 'Enemy Pie' then came up with recipes to make "Friendship Pie" in their DT lessons - and in Drama, they acted out scenarios around the theme of 'Online Kindness'.
