Become a part of our legacy

This term, pupils, teachers and parents at Greenfield are very excited to witness the arrival of a team of engineers, builders and architects responsible for executing the build of our greatly anticipated new extension.
Having moved from the cosy site on Brooklyn Road to our spacious home on Old Woking Road in 2019, Greenfield has gone from strength to strength. This move involved Greenfield becoming a two-form entry school meaning that, whilst our ethos and approach to education has not changed, we have been able to welcome many new families into our school community.
Our new chapter on the Old Woking Road was hailed as the start of the most exciting year yet and one that was sure to be full of ‘firsts’. That was certainly true, but little did we know that a pandemic was on the horizon and that much of the forthcoming school year would see our new home stood empty whilst teachers and pupils remained in lockdown.
Almost two years after our initial move, and after navigating a global pandemic, the beginning of our build marks a significant stage in expanding the legacy of our thriving prep school.
None of us could have predicted the events which have taken place since the initial announcement of the move, however, it is clear that without our spacious site, navigating the world of class bubbles, social distancing and the need for outdoor space would have been impossible. These specific benefits of our new home were unexpected, but the fortitude and spirit of our community has been ever present, and enables us to continue to grow and prosper.
The success of our move, and weathering the strange year since, has been a community effort and we therefore want to ensure that our community and pupils remain at the heart of the final stages of creating our new spaces.
On June 10th, we are looking forward to presenting our friends, families and alumni with opportunities to mark the occasion by participating in a crowdfunding campaign. This campaign offers a range of “rewards” to donors; ranging from marking a pupil’s name on a paving slab in our Zen Garden, sponsoring items for our outdoor spaces such as benches and play equipment, to even naming some of the new facilities such as the sports hall. At this pivotal moment in time, we are determined to take full advantage of the opportunities that lie ahead in maximising the use of these new spaces.
