Greenfield School Remembers HRH Queen Elizabeth II, 1926 - 1922

Greenfield joins people around the world in mourning the loss of HM Queen Elizabeth II.

On the 8th September 2022, the Greenfield community were deeply saddened to learn the passing of Queen Elizabeth II. Her compassionate and selfless reign had a profound impact on so many lives around her, and so we turn to each other in times of sadness.

On the morning of Friday 9th September 2022, Headmistress Mrs Botting led a touching assembly about the incredible length and impact of Queen Elizabeth II's reign over the Commonwealth during her lifetime. We also remember Her Majesty's life for the amazing person she was; her joyful personality, her sense of humour, and her love of animals, family and nature.

Over the coming days and weeks, our school community will pay tribute to her 70 years of dedicated service. Next week, we plan to celebrate her service with a variety of activities to engage children of all ages at Greenfield.

The following statement has been released by Surrey County Council:

Our thoughts are with the Royal Family who mourn their beloved relative. May she rest in peace.
