Marketing, Admissions and Communications Officer (full-time)

Full-time, permanent role with 5 week’s annual leave plus bank holidays. £20,000 to £22,000 dependent on experience. We would like the successful candidate to start as soon after interview as possible, but a deferred start date will be considered for the right candidate.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and committed team-player to take on this brand new position at Greenfield School.

The Marketing, Admissions and Communications Officer will provide essential support to the many aspects of running this busy and vibrant school. Contributing to three crucial elements of the school’s success, the post-holder will need a solid understanding of the school and its aims as well as the appropriate skills and knowledge to adapt to each field.

The successful candidate will have an excellent understanding of social media, in particular Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Previous experience managing business accounts is desirable. They will have an interest in new social media platforms and other developments within the field, and be keen to develop an in-depth understanding of the independent schools market. This role will suit someone who is creative with a natural ability to formulate and execute new ideas.

The Marketing, Admissions and Communications Officer will work closely with the Head of Marketing and Admissions to ensure that prospective parents receive the very best in customer care and support. The role will also require the post-holder to complete regular reporting and compliance tasks. They will need to develop a good understanding of the admission process and must have a keen eye for detail with the ability to multi-task. Tasks may include: sending out prospectuses, replying to emails, inviting families to open days or taster events and drafting letters. An understanding of sales and excellent customer service will be extremely desirable.

The Marketing, Admissions and Communications Officer will have responsibility for ensuring continuity across all school communications. Alongside other staff in the department he/she will produce regular newsletters and marketing materials.

This role requires the successful applicant to have exceptional communication skills, including friendly telephone manner and excellent written English. They must be personable, reliable and efficient. A good understanding of Microsoft Office is essential, with particular emphasis on Word and Excel. Video-editing experience and/or basic Adobe software knowledge would be desirable. The successful candidate will also be required to obtain an in-depth understanding of the school’s Management Information System, Engage, and use the website Content Management System in order to carry out his or her duties. Training will be provided, but an ability to absorb new skills quickly is essential.

This role would suit a recent graduate looking to build on their on-the-job knowledge and skills base in a friendly and supportive environment.
