Greenfield School

Head of Sport

Greenfield School invites applications for an enthusiastic and dynamic teacher to lead our PE and sport department through an exciting period of growth. The Head of Sport role will commence from September 2020 and would suit an experienced PE teacher with proven leadership skills, who has the vision to take our growing department forward. This is a full-time, permanent position.

In September 2019 Greenfield School moved from a site with very limited outside space, to a large 10+ acre site on Old Woking Road. The new site provides the school with many additional facilities and numbers on roll have grown rapidly as a result. The outside space at the new site provides the school with grass football and tag rugby pitches, as well as space dedicated to athletics. There are plans to build a 3G all-weather pitch, netball/tennis courts and install an artificial cricket wicket in the near future.

Greenfield is proudly academically non-selective. The school is two-form entry from pre-Reception through to Year 6 and has a long track-record of excellent results including many scholarships across a range of subjects.

The successful applicant will display clear vision for the leadership of a well-appointed and dedicated team of sports coaches and PE teachers and they will endeavour to continue our mission of 'sport for all'. They must also identify with the school’s ethos of inclusivity and take equal pride in developing pupils of all abilities, right across the school.

All relative documents can be downloaded below. Completed applications should be emailed along with a covering letter to Closing date TBC.

In light the school’s temporary closure, interviews are yet to be scheduled but the school welcomes applications as soon as possible.

Greenfield School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
